See Pukekura Park come alive after dark at the TSB Festival of Lights and party in the park with friends and family during the Summer at the Bowl line-up of concerts, which includes kiwi music artists L.A.B, Synthony and Six60.

NZ Tattoo & Art Festival, and AmeriCARna follow shortly after in February and Oxfam Trailwalker, New Zealand’s largest team endurance is hosted right here in Taranaki for the first time in March.

While you’re here, take the opportunity to explore the Maunga and Surf Highway 45 in the same day, indulge your taste buds with sumptuous food and discover a world of art from the stunning contemporary Govett-Brewster Art Gallery/Len Lye Centre, to thought provoking exhibitions at public and private galleries throughout the region. 

Visit historic sites, Puke Ariki Museum and the award-winning Tawhiti Museum to learn about the region’s turbulent beginnings and for a truly unique journey into the pioneering past, journey along the aptly named Forgotten World Highway.
