Taranaki Arts Trail

About

There is an abundance of choice of artist’s studios/workshops to visit, with artists from Mimi in to North to Patea in the South and around the mountain. Take the time to look inside the working environment of sculptors, painters, printmakers, glass blowers, jewellers, wood turners, weavers, ceramists and potters.  See what inspires them, learn about the techniques and materials they use, and the challenges they face in creating and developing their ideas.

Your journey will take you through the visually inspiring, volcanic landscape of Taranaki. With its ring of wild, west coast surf beaches, green paddocks, myriads of streams and bush covered slopes, all working together to provide a beautiful backdrop to this wonderful annual weekend event.

An added bonus for the visitor is the Percy Thomson Gallery in Stratford, which is hosting the 2016 Taranaki Arts Trail Artist exhibition and is a great place to see have a see each participating artists work.
Artist profiles, maps, and event information is available on our website www.taranakiartstrail.co.nz or join us on our new page at facebook.com/2016TaranakiArts Trail.
